Delete branch "build/update-deps-lts"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Node 22 is in maintenance; Node 24 is the current LTS. Ruby has no
LTS line, so the pin moves to 4.0.7, the newest release of the newest
stable branch. Both pins change in .nvmrc, .ruby-version, the
Dockerfile build args, and the docs that restate them.
Gemfile.lock is refreshed within the existing Gemfile constraints,
and Bundler moves from 4.0.10 to 4.0.22. Notable updates are
sass-embedded 1.99.0 -> 1.105.1, google-protobuf 4.34.1 -> 4.36.2,
i18n 1.14.8 -> 1.15.2, and json 2.19.4 -> 2.21.2. The i18n plugin
stays pinned to 1.7.0, and json, liquid, rouge, terminal-table, and
unicode-display_width stay on the newest versions Jekyll 4.4.1 allows.
The built site renders the same: the newer dart-sass writes some
colors in another notation, such as hsla() as rgba() and fractional
rgb() as percentages or hsl(), with identical channel values, and
terser output under Node 24 matches Node 22 byte for byte.
